Accessible 'Drawing'
Two Day Workshop Tues 3rd & Wed 4th Dec

This course is not to be dreaded but embraced as it will show students that there is more than one way of 'drawing'. We will explore methods and techniques of working quickly and imaginatively to generate ideas for individual interpretations and developments, all to help inform your own personal creative pursuit. Course is suitable for any level of ability.

Kim Major-George, a printmaker with a great feeling for texture, textiles and tactile surfaces, is the author of the incredibly creative and detailed book 'Collograph'. In this workshop, Kim will be combining her print techniques with lino-printing.
Lino Printing with a Difference
Two Day Workshop Thurs 5th & Thurs 12th Dec
Tutor: Kim Major George
Many of you will be aware of lino-printing - you may have tried it, perhaps you already use the technique, or maybe you're just intrigued by the process. In this workshop, students will be using innovative ways with lino, including the use of polyfiller, cutting, scoring, embedding and printing - to create wonderful deep embossed images. This is a must for anyone interested in printing! It is suitable for those who have some experience as well as those new to the fascinating world of hand-pulled printing.
To allow for preparation time of print-plates this two-day workshop is spread over two weeks.
